Went for an outing to Frasers Gully. Most of the track was still in shade so a pretty chilly outing with frosty patches.
10am, ventured out to get more cold ‘n’ flu pills and had to melt a very thick frost on my windscreen. Took the dog to the dog park but it was covered in frost and icy slush so we retired to the sofa.
Made some fat and seed cakes for the birds. It’s too cold for them to go looking for worms.
Dunedin Midwinter Carnival means lanterns and fireworks.
No wonder I woke up cold in the night a few times. It got down to -6. There was a thick frost over most of the city and our front lawn stayed white all day. Not the best photo but who wants to hang about in weather like that?
Today we were supposed to be flying to Auckland to see Lady Gaga. Snow over the last two days caused many cancelled flights and lots of disappointed Little Monsters at Dunedin and Christchurch airports.
The forecast is for snow. Get thee to the woodpile.
A wintery walk in Jubilee Park.
Snuggly by the fire.
