My cousin is getting married in England today. (Technically 3am New Zealand time tomorrow).
As I can’t be there I am drinking wine and watching “Superbad”. Hardly the same thing.
It has been an emotional week, what with the wedding and my sister finding out she is expecting a boy. My nephew, who looks set to be Australian.
And contrary to popular belief, NZ and Australia are not the same country.
Had so much fun at the wedding of Mr Pigalina’s cousin. There was a delicious lolly station with the pictured personalized treats, a great band and lots of laughs.
As we were the last standing there *may* have been some playing of the band’s instruments.
The night ended with us feeling like teenagers, getting a ride home at 2am from an Uncle with Mr Pigalina’s brother stuffed in the hatchback boot.

Bethanie, my youngest cousin, got married today. (You may recall a post from last week that preceded the most amazing performance of “Faith” by George Michael that the world has ever seen on Bethanie’s Hen’s Night. Freddie Mercury and Amy Winehouse wept in heaven at the beauty of Pigalina’s voice).
The Pigalina family moved to NZ from England 19 years ago and Bethanie’s family joined a few years later. It is incredibly special to be able to share these family events with them without hopping on a plane for 24 hours at a time. Today we had a lovely celebration in the herb garden at the Dunedin Botanical Garden.
My cousin is getting married next weekend. I am currently at a karaoke bar waiting for my chance to “sing” Faith by George Michael.

OK, 2013’s “Pigalina does new things” blog was a miserable failure. I was really busy. Doing stuff. So, back to the old “Photo a day”! Old Pigalina blog but hopefully new Pigalina life (i.e less drinking, more exercising, studying and general awesomeness.
