After moaning yesterday that I was ready to blow this popsicle stand for warmer climes, things are looking up. It is 7pm, I am sitting outside in the sun and, until I dropped my drink and the dog stole some of their bread, I was watching about 50 small birds feeding in my garden.
Picture is not great as it was taken on my phone at safe bird watching distance.
Enjoying the last days of summer with my furry buddy Tobias.
If it wasn’t for him I would vegetate when I got home. It’s no fun to walk alone. (Mr Pigalina is working late).
Lunch at the beach and then tea at the park, finally Summer is here. The Pigalinas even participated in sports, joining in a game of bat down. (Pigalina only played one innings due to laziness).
It rained heavily for most of the day, such has been the norm so far this Summer. Settled in and spent most of the day playing Bioshock Infinite. Then the sun came out at around 6pm when I was in my PJs, had a very irritated eye (possible cat hair intrusion) and was at a crucial part in the game.
Spent the morning assembling my Hobbit Lego and greenhouse from Mr Pigalina, had lunch with his family and then a water fight at the park.
A roasting hot day – in the 30s! Two very happy dogs got to have a swim at the beach.
So much for the tropical North Island with its rain and gales. South Island’s where it’s at this summer.
