Today is Tobias’ (dog) birthday, here he is enjoying his present.
Only it isn’t his birthday at all. When I checked his file to find out how old he is discovered his birthday is six weeks away! Someone struck it lucky thanks to my false recurring calendar event – 2 presents this year.
Not sure how this got stuck in his beard, or how it remained for so long. (Little else happened today…)
Pigalina and Tobias about to set out (with Mr Pigalina) to Southland for the long weekend.
Oh hey Tobias, why aren’t you getting into bed?
I lifted his top blanket to reveal his secret stash of goodies – amid the soil lay a biscuit and a lard bird feeder that had been missing for months. Today it must have been ripe enough to dig up to save for a midnight feast.
I didn’t even get my hammock out of storage last year as the weather wasn’t great. Today I got it out and hung it and am looking forward to some lazy afternoons reading it the sun.
Mr Pigalina and Tobias went to the beach after work. One of them got very smelly after paddling in the sea and needed a wash.
Today, after work, I decided that Tobias (dog) and I would walk as far as we could until Mr Pigalina finished work – time unknown.
I strapped on my walking shoes, donned my shorts, filled my water bottle, and we were off. It was pretty windy but we battled on, past the sheep fields, litter filled ditches and the scrap metal yard.
I reached the Green Island shops, which from Waldronville is quite a distance (Google map it!) and was feeling so proud of us. Then Mr Pigalina pulled up to give us a ride home. As I stopped my walking app I was surprised to discover we had only walked 3.5km which is less than the usual route! The straight line nature of the walk made it seem further than our usual loop.
At least we saw some different sights, such as this duck on the stream. One day we plan to walk the 13km to Mr Pigalina’s work…
Having woken me up in the night, by rubbing his itchy eyes on his blanket, Tobias remained in bed long after I got up. Obviously tired. Not that anyone else would have been…
Good to know that the dog’s treats are both vegetarian AND gluten free.
Had an audience while on the toilet.
(Yes, I had my phone with me. Don’t pretend you don’t do it too).
