We noticed last year at work that one Christmas decoration was not all he seemed. He’s back for 2014 and pride of place on the tree.

Nerd Cat PJs
Until Summer really kicks in, there is nothing better than popping on your PJ pants as soon as you get home.
These nerd cat ones are my new favourite. I also have a pair of leopard print ones that, for reasons unknown, cause Mr Pigalina to declare they make him feel physically sick.
Watching Wees
Had an audience while on the toilet.
(Yes, I had my phone with me. Don’t pretend you don’t do it too).
Perfect Fit
Following Friday’s dog poo + carpet situation I thought that the best (read easiest) way to get it out of the mat by the door would be to put it in the washing machine.
Alas, the mat disintegrated.
I bought a new one today. The non-slip remnant of the old mat indicates it is a lot smaller than I thought. Not that William cares.
For Leighton
This week Mr Pigalina has been working late, then getting home and working some more. Therefore all I have done this week is work, get home do chores and watch “I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!” from 2011. I know, I know, I shouldn’t make you all jealous of my exciting life but I can’t help it if it’s true.
This is why Pigalina has had very sparse updates. Apologies to Leighton my biggest fan. 😏
Here is the only photo from Thursday – two creatures enjoying the fire during a storm. I’m glad they enjoyed themselves because very little heat made it past them.
No Learning for You
Tomorrow I am supposed to hand in my last workbook, thus gaining a certificate in He Papa Tikanga (Maori culture). William has other ideas.
Can’t get up, cat.
How was I supposed to reach over there?
One flea, $60
Yesterday I thought I would treat William to a good grooming. I combed and combed while he purred and walked around the lounge forcing me to follow. Then, after sticky rolling up some loose hairs I saw a flea stuck to the roller too. Urgh!
So off I trotted today to buy flea treatment for both dog and cat. $30 per packet of three – ridiculous. One little flea cost me loads! Especially when you take into account the treats they demand after enduring the ordeal of having some drops put on their necks.
Cat Nap
New Zealand is a very spread out country. Today I had a five hour round trip to attend a meeting. I fell asleep in the car on the way home. Many times.
I took one picture of Timaru but it didn’t turn out too well, so please accept this picture of William re-enacting my journey today.
Ain’t No Party Like A Pigalina and Pets Party
Friday night. Mr Pigalina is out at a Stag Night and I have offered to be sober driver. I am on the sofa with dog and cat, watching Coronation Street, eating Kit Kat and filling out online surveys for money.
