Thanks to Good Friday and a day off work, I have finally finished the mobile that I started making for my nephew back in January (possibly December). I hope the poor chap doesn’t grow up with a bird phobia having had to stare up at birds with Coraline-esque button eyes while trying to get off to sleep.
Apologies for poor quality photo, and questionable sewing.
My little sister has had a little baby! Welcome to James, the first NZ born baby of the Betts/Robinson line.
My cousin is getting married in England today. (Technically 3am New Zealand time tomorrow).
As I can’t be there I am drinking wine and watching “Superbad”. Hardly the same thing.
It has been an emotional week, what with the wedding and my sister finding out she is expecting a boy. My nephew, who looks set to be Australian.
And contrary to popular belief, NZ and Australia are not the same country.
My sister is having a baby so Pigalina and Mummy Pigalina are in buy-cute-things mode.
I have got the baby the complete Peter Rabbit collection. Then I was thinking about it and some of the stories are quite scary – Peter Rabbit is chased, naked, by a farmer who is trying to kill him; Jemima Puddle Duck’s eggs (babies) are eaten by a fox.
At least it isn’t complete Grimm’s Fairytales…
We have just attended a first birthday party. Every ounce of energy appears to have been drained from our bodies and Mr Pigalina has a light headache.
How do people do it?
Baby shower for a baby currently known as Blobby.
I always said, as I married at 20 and still felt young, that my school friends and I would officially be old when we started having babies. This is baby E and she is the second child for the first of us to have a baby. It is more than official.
She is so cute.
